At the Bodleian Library of the University of Oxford, the executive director of our foundation, Liusiena Shum, spoke about the challenges and successes of libraries during the war, assistance to emigrants, the army, and the fight against the influx of Russian culture.
The executive director of the "Library Country" foundation, Liusiena Shum, became the guest at the "Libraries Connected Annual Seminar 2023 - Connecting Communities".
During the occupation, the russian military lived in the library, which disfigured the already not-so-new premises. However, the library is now unrecognizable: thanks to caring people and volunteers, it is being transformed from a Soviet library into a modern space for children and adults.
