On 20 September, at the presentation ‘Sister Libraries: Ukraine - United Kingdom’, a partnership between the libraries of the two countries was announced. This is an important step in building a cultural bridge between Ukraine and the UK. As part of the cooperation, Ukrainian libraries will join forces with British libraries to share experience, knowledge and jointly implement cultural initiatives.
‘Libraries are more than just a place for books, they are safe spaces where people can find support and access to knowledge. We are delighted to share our experience and contribute to the development of libraries in Ukraine,’ said Isabel Hunter, Executive Director of Libraries Connected (UK).
The partnership gives Ukrainian libraries a chance to become the voice of Ukraine among librarians and readers in the UK. The organisers of the visitation library campaign for Ukraine and the UK were the Library Country Charitable Foundation and  Libraries Connected.
