15 libraries of the Donetsk region took part in the project "Libraries - fighters of the information front". The libraries of this region continue to work despite all the challenges of the terrible war. Moved, remote, with special schedules and temporary formats, but they work. As of December 2022, 193 continue to operate in offline and online formats, another 104 are in the occupied territory, 97 are damaged, and 22 are destroyed.

Project participants had the opportunity to listen to lectures by historian Oleksandr Alfyorov, content specialists, developed Telegram channels, and received 285 popular science books on the history of Ukraine.

During the implementation of the project, the libraries worked out their role as institutions that, in addition to traditional functions, represent and implement the information policy of the state, and also fulfill the mission of strengthening the spirit of struggle in times of war. As a result, libraries will become stronger players in the information field and acquire the status of fortresses of Ukrainian information resistance.

The project "Libraries - fighters of the information front" took place within the framework of the project implementation #ZMINA_2_0 ISOLATION fund with the financial support of the European Union.
