We got the support of the British!
At the Bodleian Library of the University of Oxford, the executive director of our foundation, Liusiena Shum, spoke about the challenges and successes of libraries during the war, assistance to emigrants, the army, and the fight against the influx of Russian culture.
"Our losses. Our successes. About the fact that Ukraine is fighting for its identity", Liusiena Shum believes that Ukrainians should use any chance to advocate and defend the interests of Ukraine, tell the world about Russia's crimes against the culture, environment, heritage and future of Ukrainians, etc.
The result of the meeting was an agreement on initiatives that we will be able to jointly implement with other partners. The main thing is that the British are ready to support our libraries on the way to revival and improvement.
The speech was organized by the Bodleian Library and personally initiated by the director of the Oxford University Bodleian Libraries, a friend of Ukraine, Richard Ovenden.
