To ensure that everyone has access to Ukrainian literature outside their home, Svitlana Polunina from Kharkiv initiated a mobile library project in Italy. We talked to Svitlana about her project and found out what the travelling library needs and what Ukrainians read in the land of Dante and Rodari.
On December 20, 2023, the International Association of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) published a response to the appeal of the Ukrainian Library Association to terminate relations with Russian libraries. The response unequivocally condemns Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.
We appeal to the members of the European Educational Publishers Group to start work on the promotion of Ukraine in the European space of memory, the promotion of Ukrainian cultural achievements and knowledge of the history of Ukraine in the school course on the history and geography of European countries, to abandon the dominant Russian-centric views on Ukrainian history and return it in the European context.
