"Libraries for everyone", "I support New York's libraries", "Libraries make New Yorkers stronger" - white lines on a black background, below a desperate #no to library cuts. Starting from April of this year, these slogans on banners, posters, T-shirts and bags flooded the Big Apple.
"Healthy conversations" is a scientifically based method of influencing people's behavior, which leads to positive changes and improvement of their physical and mental health.
During the occupation, the russian military lived in the library, which disfigured the already not-so-new premises. However, the library is now unrecognizable: thanks to caring people and volunteers, it is being transformed from a Soviet library into a modern space for children and adults.
"A librarian is both a reader and a listener, and an animator and photographer, a gardener and a decorator, and a healer of human souls...", I read a post on the library's Facebook page. And is it necessary to be all of the above and flaunt it? Is a man-orchestra really an effective worker?
